Welcome Coach Sabot
Feb 21, 2018, 6:00 pm

"Coach Sabot is very excited to join the Crimson team as the new Maple Grove Varsity Volleyball Coach. Sabot was born and raised in Chicago, IL where she played volleyball all through middle school, high school, and club. She than went on to play at Robert Morris University and was named Captain of her team. Sabot started her coaching career in Chicago in 2010 as well. She was the Assistant Varsity Coach at Gwendolyn Brooks HS and coached for 1st Alliance Volleyball Club. Sabot moved to Minnesota four and a half years ago where she became the Varsity coach for Pact Charter and then moved on to become the Varsity Coach for White Bear Lake HS. She also coached for Crossfire Volleyball Club and M1 Volleyball Club.

In her spare time, Coach Sabot loves working out and being outside (when Minnesota whether permits!) She loves playing with her children, reading, and playing softball and being a computer nerd!

Coach Sabot is looking forward to pushing this program and these girls to a new level and focusing on the enjoyment of playing a competitive sport."

Spotlight on Scholarship

We are PROUD to announce that the Minnesota State High School League has awarded recognition to the 2017 MGVB Program as part of their Spotlight on Scholarship initiative!  (click on the image above to go to the MSHSL website for details)

This program recognizes individuals playing on B-Squad, JV, and Varsity team who achieve a 3.0 GPA (B) or higher through the grading period ending after season close.  It also recognizes Varsity teams that achieve a 3.0 GPA or higher through the end of the season school year as a team.

Individual Awards - From our Varsity, JV, and B-Squad teams, there are 29 student-athletes recieving awards!  Each of these recipients will recieve an award certificate and voucher for a free McDonald's treat.

Team Award - Our Varsity Team is on track to earn a Spotlight on Scholarship Banner from the League if they continue to excel when hitting the books!  We ended the first Trimester with a team weighted GPA of 3.55!  We need to end the season with at least a 3.0 weighted GPA to earn the award which would be delivered next Fall!  Keep up the great work girls!

Congratulations to the amazing work by all of our student-athletes this year!
